When He Won't Marry You, What Should You Do?

If your partner is not ready for such a commitment, then obviously you cannot force him into it. Marriage is a joint decision, not an individual one. What you can do is talk to your partner honestly about your wishes and try and convince him to marry you. If your partner sees differently, then it is obvious that you two are not on the same wavelength and obviously have a lot to think about, regarding the future of your relationship.

If you can wait till your partner is ready to get married, then you can use the time to get him used to the idea of marriage. If marriage is a distant option for him, do something else that will increase your intimacy level, such as moving together. After living together he may not have such a phobia for marriage and may in time come to accept it.
