I would go a different route...

We have four cats and two dogs, all indoor outdoor.

We don't use normal flea products but do use natural things.  I've NEVER had a flea on any of them, and our Kitty Oscar, is 19 years old.

We use lavendar baby soap that is approved for newborns (this is important...the others have oils that are bad).  We give baths weekly during the hot months.

We do put a flea collar IN the vaccumm bag.

We also use all cedar dog houses/cat houses.  We line the cat beds with cedar chips.

We also planted garlic along the perimeter of our land, which took a while since we have an acre.  Next to or under every window and door, we have garlic, lavendar and mint planted as well.

The mint also works great for mosquitos.

It sounds like a pain, but really works! And the baby soap leaves them smelling good!

I would follow what the directions are on the box of the collars that you have. It's there so that you aren't endangering them with harsh chemicals that their little bodies aren't ready for. Hope this helps, good luck.

To my knowledge Flea collars are safe from 10 weeks and up. But please consult the packaging prior to using the product.
