Oxycontin is a derivative of opium with a synthetic laboratory drug mixed with it.
Very addictive, attacks the Central Nervous System once you are addicted. (Which takes only about 30 days to become addicted to). Causes twitching nerves, muscles and an overall bad feeling if you do not constantly keep a certain amount of it running through your body.
The synthetic drug causes the med to attach to fat cells in the body which makes the drug very difficult to withdraw from. Takes several agonizing months to completely remove it from the body.
You must be detoxed from the Oxy. Stopping the med cold turkey will cause extremely rapid heart rate which can be devastating to the heart muscle, hallucinations, sleeplessness, and panic attacks just to name a few.

I am the one that posted the use of cranberry pills to beat a urine test..... I agree with most of what you said except that you will be addicted in 5-7 days if you snort the oxy's. Withdrawl from them makes herion childs play. Thats from experience going cold turkey multiple times with both. The pain is incredible in the 2nd to 4th day. I had a 7 year addiction to oxy's and heroine they will both ruin your life and that too is from experience.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I was addicted to the oxy too. Took it for 21/2 years. Went cold turkey getting off the stuff. Sure wished I hadn't done that. I didn't have a clue it would be so rough. Thought it'd be about like getting off the hydrocodone. NOT!
Oxycontin metabolizes to morphine and so does codeine. Simply said all opiates metabolize to morphine which is what most drug test are checking for. Cough syrup with codeine will show up the same as heroin in most court ordered drug test.
