Is It Normal To Have Some Water In The Drip Pan Of A Hot Water Heater? If This Happens Occasionally And Drains,Is This Signal A Bigger Problem?

My hot water heater is now two years old, and in the last month, occasionally there is some water in the drip pan. If it drains by itself, is this a problem that I should have looked at by a plumber?

A small water in the drip pan is not a big problem but in my opinion you should call a plumber to fix it. It will soon become a problem when you will find more water in the drip pan.
