My Female Dog Had Puppies Five Weeks Ago And She Has Started Spotting Blood. Is This Normal?

Dogs can have bloody discharge for several weeks after giving birth. I would be concerned if she had stopped bleeding several weeks ago and just re-started. I would also be concerned if the discharge in any way contained pus. To be safe it would be best to have your dog examined by a veterinarian and have a vaginal cytology run.
