You didn't mention male or female.  Certain places make beautiful names, especially if you have fond memories of the place, like Cheyenne, Dakota, Austin, Dallas, Savannah.  Don't like names that are too far out there, too difficult to pronounce or spell, will cause a child to change or shorten it's name if it's too much to explain on every introduction.  David is a common name that I like, but I know several David's, uncountable Mikes, Johns, Jims, Jeffs, etc.  Some good names can come from combining both parents names, but be careful.  I like strong names, not common, but memorable.  There are many books available to explain ancient meanings of names.  Have a friend named Thor, from ancient mythology meaning god of hammers.  What do you know, but this man has a grand collection of hammers as an adult.
