A mammal i something that has hair on it even if it is only fine hairs that are nealy invisible. Also mammals always give birth to live young. This means not in eggs or anything. Another mammal feature is that they have mammary glands.

Mammals have hair on them.They are hot blooded and give birth to live young.Reptiles are cold blooded and lay eggs.They do not have any hair.But some mammals like the platypus and the bat, lays eggs.
