What Is A Torn Bicep?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Torn bicep is a painful bicep injury. It occurs when your bicep muscle is fully stretched and goes through immense pressure. Usually weight lifters experience torn bicep muscle while doing the preacher curl. The preacher curl usually strains the bicep muscle way to much, which will lead to a torn bicep muscle if you pick up too much weight and are not warmed up correctly.

You can tell whether you have a torn muscle when you lift too much weight and experience an immediate sharp pain in the bicep near your elbow, which later develops into a bicep muscle weakness followed by stiffness and finally bruising.

To ovoid a torn bicep is quiet simple all you have to do is warm up your bicep muscles before you start training. Try using strict form in all bicep training exercises and do not stretch your limits.
