A web browser is a term used to describe a software application which allows a user to view and interrelate with text, pictures and other types of data characteristically situated on a web page in a web site on the World Wide Web or a type of intranet. Text and pictures can consist of a hyperlink to other websites. Web browsers enable a user to gain access to information offered on many web pages and web sites in a rapid and easy manner.
