Why Do We Need To Discipline The Children?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Children need discipline for a variety of reasons. One very real reason is the setting of boundaries and rules. Children need to learn that there are consequences for their actions. Positive and negative. They need rewarding and praise for a job well done. As well they need time-outs and groundings for those times that they have pushed the limits. Basically, not doing what has been asked. Starting young will show your children the basics. What you value as a family. What the morals of your own family make up are. Everyone is different in their approach. Teaching kids these things leads to specific behaviors as an adult. If a child is left to do what he darn well pleased then as an adult he will expect others to let him do the same. When this doesn't happen then we have an aggressive person on our hands. They will take what they think is theirs. You see where this is going. Teaching our children and showing them discipline is not a bad thing. Discipline in the right form is good.
