My Kitty Eyes Are Watering And Mucus Build Up Sealing Them Every Few Hours, Why?

Her eyes were sealed shut, and puss was oozing from the inside. I cleaned them both and removed the puss and she could open them. They kept watering, and sealing up every 2 to 3 hours. In the morning both eyes were sealed and puss build up again.

I used to be veterinary nurse and seen this sort of thing all the time. Don't worry but she will need a trip to the vet and should only need some steroid eye drops for a week or so. You are doing the right thing by cleaning her eyes with soft cotton wool too, just make sure it is the double sided kind so no bits come off in her eyes, and using lukewarm water.
    Hope this helps!

There could be a several reasons for this. A very common one is a upper respiratory infection. Is there discharge from the nose? Is the cat up to date on its shots? If the answers are yes then no. You should probably see a vet. You can use a warm damp cloth to clean the matted eyes. Should be kept away from other cats, could spread to them. Hope this helps at least a little.
