How To Wire A Dryer?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A dryer needs either a 4 or3 wire to it as its 220 but depends on your cord on the dryer as to which you need. Modern built homes have the 4 wire, but alot of dryers still have a 3 prong cord.  And this is on a 30 amp breaker so either way what you connect on your breaker must be your hots on the plug and the remaining wire is your neutral and/or ground
