What Makes Up The Discworld In Terry Pratchett's Books?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Discworld consists of a giant of turtle on top of which four elephants stand. On top of the elephants is a flat disc on which the world exists, hence the name Discworld. There are a number of places within the Discworld which are frequently mentioned. One of them is Ankh-Morpork, which is a city and where the Unseen University resides. Ankh-Morpork is the capital of the Discworld and polluted.

Other locations include Lancre, which is a country within Discworld and in the Ramtop mountains. The country was included in 'A Tourist Guide to Lance', which was the third book in the Discworld Mapp series.

The locations of Discworld are detailed in the Discworld Mapp, which is an atlas and is used by readers of the Discworld novels as a reference. Other Discworld Mapps included Deaths Domain (Death is a character in the Discworld series).
