The Other side of Midnight was written by Sidney Sheldon in the year 1973 and its sequel was Memories of Midnight which made an appearance in the year 1990; seventeen years later. The book centred on the character of Catherine Douglas who was originally Catherine Alexander before she married Larry Douglas. The girl is suffering from Amnesia and is being manipulated by Greek billionaire tycoon Constantin Demiris.

He has her transferred to his London office and starts to court her affections. At the same time her memories start returning and people around her start dying. At the end she is saved in the nick of time with the help of the hero from a boy like assassin hired by the tycoon; and the Greek tycoon is killed out of revenge by his lawyer, whom he double crossed.

The prequel The Other side of Midnight was made into a movie which was supposed to be a hit but did horridly at the box office.
