What Does Imagination Mean?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Imagination basically is the normal power and process of creating mental images and ideas. This expression is theoretically applied in psychology for the course of reviving in the mind percepts of objects previously given in intellect perception.

Seeing that this application of the expression clashes with that of everyday language, quiet a few psychologist have chosen to illustrate this method as "imaging" or "imagery" or to call it as "reproductive" in opposition to "productive" or "constructive" imagination. Imagined images are viewed through the "minds eye".

One assumption for the evolution of human imagination is that it permits conscious being to resolve problems via the application of mental simulation. The normal application of the expression is for the procedure of structuring in the brain new images which have not been earlier experienced.
