How Can I Help My Cat?

My female cat is urinating on my bed and going #2 on my bed. She also won't use the litter box a lot of the time and goes to the bathroom right in front of it. She also wont let you touch her belly. She is not even a year old and we really don't have the heart to give her up. A vet is too expensive so any advice would be helpful to us.

There is a possibility that your cat is in heat. Cats usually start spraying here and there when they are in heat. Moreover they don't like to be touched often. But still there is a chance that your cat has some health issue. Infection or diabetes can be the reason behind her behavior. May be this way she wants you to take notice of her problem. Cats also start ignoring their litter when they don't like its size or material. Make sure she is comfortable with her litter.

Is the litterbox scooped every day? Also, make sure the litter gets changed every week. Also, scented litters tend to repel cats from the litterbox, it really doesn't smell good to them.
