What Is An Epistle In The Bible?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

An epistle is a formal letter. When the word is applied to the Bible, the definition is refined to include teaching and preaching applications along with personal addresses. For example, in the New Testament, we have "The first epistle of Paul to Timothy", or "The epistle of James", and so on.
