What Was The Goal Of The French Revolution?

To remove the monarchy and establish a democracy as the America's were doing and did with the British. They French people were tired of the Monarchy, funding such extravagance as Versailles while the public was starving and the Monarchy were spitting on the population without thought to their dire and intolerable living situation of grime, no food and no place to live.

It was mainly to get rid of the absolute monarchy.

Also, "The Tennis Court Oath" was during the french revolution and it was where members of the third estate made a promise to stay together until a constitution was written. This constitution was the "declaration of rights of men and citizens." It was mainly to give people the right to speak and vote.

Also during the french revolution, there was a civil constitution of the clergy which gave lower class people the same amount of power as the higher class.
