    A dictionary basically is a list of words along with their definitions, a list of typescript along with their glyphs, or a listing of expressions along with equivalent words in supplementary languages.

    In some languages, terms may emerge in a number of diverse varieties, but only the lemma type emerge as the main word or headword in nearly all dictionaries. Quiet a few dictionaries even offer pronunciation information, grammatical information, and word derivation, histories, along with phrases or sentences. Dictionaries are generally created in the shape of a book; where as a number of dictionaries are also created in the electronic portable handheld devices.

    Dictionaries usually differ widely on the basis of size or scope. A dictionary that tries to cover a lot of words from a particular speech community as achievable is known as maximizing dictionary.
