    Feline distemper is also called feline parvo. This is an contagious virus and cause a disease in cats called Feline panleukopenia. This virus can affect gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system. This virus can cause fetal death and abortion in the infected cats. Feline distemper virus is highly contagious and can be fatal if not treated on time. Its symptoms in cats are vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, fever, depression, weakness and loss of appetite. Diagnosis is by complete blood test, urine test, CSF test, and x-rays of chest, abdomen and some virus specific tests. No treatment is available. Only symptomatic treatments are option.
