    Tehran basically is the capital city of Iran and the hub of Tehran province. Most of Iran's industries can be found in Tehran. These industries comprise of vehicle, electronics, artillery, textile, cement, chemical goods, etc.

    Tehran is positioned towards the base of the Alborz mountain range and has a vast arrangement of highways towards Western Asia. The city has quite a few big museums, art centers, complexes along with cultural centers. During the 20th century, a lot of people migrated to Tehran from all across Iran. Thought it is mainly Persian, Tehran also has other religious minorities like Azeris, Armenian, Assyrians, Kurds, Jews, etc.  

    The census report stated that the total population of Tehran is 7,314,000, having an average population density of 10,000 per square kilometre. The census report also stated that the total area of this region was 1,500 square kilometre.
