How Do You Sue?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The suing procedure varies form country to country. Even in different states, cities and counties in a country, the procedure to sue someone differs. But here are the basic steps involved.

Whatever legal issue you have, you should first present it to the local County court. If you want to claim a small amount of money, generally you have to consult the small claims office. Other types of claims have to be directed to the main office where they will be dealt with according to the kind of suit you want to place.

A claim is made by the Claimant. The claimant generally has to fill out a Claim Form which consists of Particulars of claim, which in turn has specific information regarding the suit. The procedure however, varies widely. The best option for you would be to consult a lawyer regarding the legal proceedings in your locality.
