It is not possible to build a volcano in reality, but you can build a model using some common articles of everyday use. To build a volcano, you need to create a salt dough. To make a salt dough, you need to mix six cups of flour, two cups of salt, four tablespoons of cooking oil, two cups of water in a big bowl and work them with your hands till you get a dough which has a smooth, firm texture. You can add more water if it is necessary.
A bottle of soda must be kept standing in a baking pan and the salt dough should be moulded around the bottle. Care must be taken, however, not to drop any dough into the bottle or cover the mouth of the bottle. This is the volcano. The bottle must be filled with warm water mixed with a little red food colouring.
Then you must put six drops of liquid detergent into the bottle. Two tablespoons of baking soda must be added and vinegar must be poured slowly into the bottle. You must be careful not to be in the way of the bottle when it erupts. The lava in the volcano is because of a chemical reaction which caused by the combination of baking soda and vinegar.

They are not built, they are caused due to pressure inside the earth- all forms of gases, materials.
