What Is Java Enabled Browser And Its Function?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A web browser is a program that runs on your computer (or phone) that allows you to see content on the "world wide web".  All web browsers are built to handle content containing text and simple images, such that clicking on an image or a piece of text leads one to another webpage.  Java and Flash are two types of content that are not built in to every web-browser and may require the person viewing the content to do a one-time install of plug in software.  A Java-enabled browser is a browser which has the Java plug in installed already. Some sources indicate ~90% of browsers on PCs are Java-enabled.  The percentage of high-end phones with Java or Flash support on web browsers is substantially lower.
