House is my favorite T.V. show. Created by David Shore and produced by Bryan Singer (X-Men, Superman Returns), the show has won numerous awards and recognition - The Washington Post called it the "best medical drama since the debut of ER".
The show stars Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House, a rudely brilliant medical genius who leads a team of young doctors at a fictional hospital in New Jersey. The show usually starts off with the events leading to the patient's hospitalization. House and his team of experts take on these cases, either voluntarily or instructed to by the hospital's Dean of Medicine, Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). The doctors converse and usually misdiagnose the patient three or four times throughout the show before finally figuring out the right diagnoses.
Newer episodes also feature house working in the hospital's walk-in clinic where he's actually quite mean to the patients, but solves their problems quickly and with a sense of comic humor.
The show is absolutely brilliant and I give it two thumbs up.
