This is what happens to our computer......except we got some other type of software for it and it works pretty good. However, i don't know what it's called. Also sometimes computers run slowly when there is a lot of files on them.

"I love the rhetoric and the chest-pounding," he said.However, both companies have been fighting off competition from free alternatives like AVG, Avast, and Avira. Just recently, Microsoft released a beta of their new Security Essentials software that includes anti-virus protection. Just recently, Symantec made a statement claiming that it's dangerous to rely on free antivirus.

1. Use a anti-virus software to scan your computer thoroughly
2. Clean up and optimize your registry, you can delete rubbish files, stop unnecessary start-up programs and uninstall useless applications. You can do it by yourself or rely on a registry optimizer.
3. Clean up icons on your desktop or put them into a file.
4. Delete fonts of infrequent usage. When the fonts you install are over 500, your computer's performance will be influenced.
