It is difficult to determine the exact year but it is believed that it is two hundred and fifty years since the place started serving as a major tourist attraction. The people of London crave to visit Margate because of its sandy beaches and other added facilities to attract more tourists.

The town of Margate can be found in the district of the Isle of Thanet in Kent, England and has population of approximately 60,000.

The town has realised the potential of tourism long ago and started luring tourists by providing different kind of facilities. It was the first resort to have donkey rides and the facility for deck chair; both were in the late 19th century.

Though it is seen lately that tourists started preferring other places further a field and in consequence people are loosing their job here, Margate still manages to lure tourists.
