You put some food on your hand and put the gerbils and if it doesnt work i did it with hamsters but there more or less the same

Gerbil taming takes patience, but is worth it.
First, let them get used to your scent by sticking your hand in their cage a few times each day. Don't move after them or try to pick them up; just let them come to you and explore.
After the gerbils are comfortable coming up to you, put some treats, like sunflower seeds, into your hands and let the gerbils take them. Gerbils will slowly come to see you as the dispenser of the glorious sunflower seeds!
When they are comfortable with feeding, try lifting your hand slowly when the gerbil is on it eating. If the gerbil jumps off or flees, don't chase after him. Soon, the gerbil will get used to this motion and that is when you can take them out.
A fun way to tame them may be to take them out and place them in your empty bathtub to let them run around. Sit in there with them, and they will eventually climb you like a giant jungle gym!
