If you mean what do they provide for humans, then its mainly fruits and (unfortunatly) meat and wood.

The sheer number of plants and trees also make them medically important. Most of the medicines we use today come from substances made, or extracted from plants and trees, e.g aspirin. This is also a big factor in wanting to preserve the rainforest. Many of the plant species are either undiscovered, or not fully tested yet. Some of them might even contain a cure for cancer!

They also provide a kind of air conditioning service. For photosynthesis, trees need to take in carbon dioxide, which we are emitting tonnes of. They use this CO2, and in its place, let out oxygen, which we ourselves need. So as well as giving us oxygen, they also help control (or at least slow) climate change.

But of course, equally as importantly they provide habitat for millions upon millions of species of animal, insect and plant life.
