Ask A Question About Electric Hot Water Heater Troubleshooting?

My hot water heater has to be reset daily for hot water. But the water is soooo hot. Decreasing the temperature does not decrease the temp of the water. What do you think is wrong with it. It is about 5 years old.

There may be the thermostat problem in it. If decreasing the temperature do not turn it down, then there may be a disorder in the knob or the control valve. I think you can check the knob using a Multimeter. If it draws the same current at all temperatures then replace the control knob
