    The disadvantages of interviews are as follows :-

    1) No matter how elaborate or intensive the screening process is, it is insufficient to fully realize an individual's potential for the job.

    2) Personal biases often come in the way of selecting individuals for the job and there are other such issues like halo effect and stereotyping which make it unreliable.

    3) Wastes a lot of the interviewees and company's time.

    4) Nervousness caused in individuals during interviews makes them unable to really express their abilities even if they are suitable for the job.

    5) The interviewers usually are more focused at grilling the interviewees for their personal amusement or expressing their authority than really empathizing with the individuals and saving valuable time.
