This Question Is Answered:
I Currently Recieve The 48.5/mile However, The Average Annual Mileage Is 7,000 For Work Travel Only And An Addl 10 To 12 K Personnal Use. With This Type Of Mileage, Is Leasing Or Buying A Better Option?
I have been asking about a company vehicle because i feel 6k miles/yr is excessive.#1if i buy a new car it depreciates rapidly and i loose on my down payment.#2 If i lease i will not recoup my money i put down plus at 17k miles /yr will be way over and have to pay at the end. Help thanks

Obviously a company car would be a good deal for you but since most places don't do that anymore the key factor will be how much you invest in a car. Buy a 1 y/o vehicle and you can smile knowing some other person took the beating on the first year's depreciation.

You could look at it this way: The company is paying a $280/month share of your car payment. You could buy a Hyundai and not have to pay anything in addition or you can buy something nicer and pay the difference.
