What Were The First Video Games Like?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Video games first made their appearance in the 1970s. They were simple games that had very little in terms of graphic or sound. The earliest game was a sort of tennis game with two white pads, a ball made of four coherently moving white dots and a net. Other notables included Pac man and pong. The first had a disc like character eating beads in every direction within the maze and trying to do so before one of the other four colourful computer controlled characters caught up with him and the second had a pad at the bottom bouncing a disc that pulverized a brick like structure at the top of the screen. The earliest consoles were made by Atari and were very popular in those days. These eventually gave way to Nintendo and Sega as better graphics and sound were slowly developed.
