Gender And Why People Change It?

This is not an easy question to answer but i will give it a try. I am a male to female transsexual myself. I know that this answer would be different from others but here is my reason. I was actually born as a human having both male and female organs. At the time of my birth it was believed that you had to be born one or the other so that you fit into the gender norm. My doctor made me male. Now I feel that he/she made a mistake. I was meant to be a female. So for all intents I feel in my mind and heart and soul that I am a girl. The only problem is that my body does not match that.

I shall put it this way. Try to imagine yourself with all the feelings and self-awareness that you have now but in the body of the opposite gender. Imagine going through puberty as the opposite gender. For me this is not only real but it feels like the worst nightmare that I could ever have but the worst part is that I will never awake from it. It is always there.

That is at least my reason for changing my physical gender.
