Islamabad is the tenth largest city of the country that was built in the era of 1960’s. The city is located on the junction of the two provinces of Punjab and NWFP. It is s part of the potohar Plateau. It is surrounded on one side by the Margalla hills which are the foot hills of the Himalayas. It has a total area of 906.5 square kilometers or 350 square miles. The coordinates of the city are 33°40 North latitude and 73°08 east longitudes.
