It seems to me throughout history more wars were waged in the name of religion than anything else.

No, they would just find something else to fight about. Because we all still have our own opinions and differences. Even among the same religious background there is dissention. Or arrogance. We can't all be the same, our differences make the world more interesting.

NO, there would still be wars. People will always have differences of opinion, greed, lusr for material things, and many other reasons to start a war. Religion has nothing to do with mans nature.

No. Religion is just an excuse for war...it is still man's nature to try to gain more land, more wealth, more power, and he will use whatever excuse he can come up with to justify that.
