How Do You Prep And Paint Exterior Wood?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

To paint the exterior wood first you would have to rid it of all the accumulated dust, dirt and grime. It can be done through the use of a detergent or power washers. Take care that the detergent or the washer is not abrasive and harmful on the surface. Then use a sealer to remove persisting paint. Then apply two coats of primer to protect it from termites and other harm. Now paint the wood with any of those several paints available in the market through a brush, spray or roll.

Just remember to move the brush or spray in the same direction and work from top to down. Leave it before it is entirely dried and take care to see that no body leaves any finger marks or other marks on the wood before it is dried. Then you can decorate it as per your preference and creativity.
