    New Malden is uptown town and shopping centre situated in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and also has some part of it in London Borough of Merton it is placed approximately 9.4 miles south west of Charing Cross.

    It gets its name from the Old Malden a former village which is situated approximately three kilometres to the south. New Malden shares its land borders with the prosperous Coombe Hill towards the north and Raynes Park, Worcester Park and Tolworth towards the south and east. New Malden also comprises of Motspur Park. Towards the west, New Malden amalgamates with Kingston upon Thames.

    New Malden has the maximum emigrant community of South Koreans in Europe. According to various sources, the total Korean inhabitants in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames are roughly 20,000 to 32,000 mainly in New Malden.
