Where Is The Porcini Mushroom Imported From?

    Mushrooms are most commonly found in Europe and western parts of North America.  The name "Porcini" comes from the Italian word Porcino, but there are a number of English names.

    It can grow on its own of in clusters and it grows in areas that are dominated by Oak, Pine, fir and Spruce trees.  

    Its flavour is described as nutty and slightly meaty with a texture that is smooth and creamy.  

    They are eaten raw as part of pasta, soups and many other dishes.
