What Is The Best Way For You To Deal With A Difficult Customer?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Let the customer vent his/her anger and DO NOT interrupt.  Listen carefully to what they are saying.  Make notes if you have too.  Then when it is your turn in a calm voice explain what you need to.  If the customer starts to interrupt, stop and listen again.  Then continue with your explanation.  If the customer continues to interrupt, stop him/her and tell them in a calm voice that you are trying to answer their questions but you can only address a question at a time.  Good luck.  If they start to cuss you out, remain calm.  Do not go in the path that they are trying to lead you in.  Some customers try to upset you and get you angered too.  But, keep your anger in check.  If you can help it is best to do it right away before you forget.  Now a days, customers know what the routine is by getting your name and number and you can be sure that they will hold you to whatever you promise.  So just tell them you will try your best to correct the problem or situation.
