Understanding among the people, enabling them to solve the monster problems of overpopulation, inequality, unemployment and corruption. Only the masses with a suitable  education can throw up national leaders to take the country to the heights of success that it deserves. It is commonly known that our education system is not functioning well and cannot be compared favourably with the education systems of the developed countries. What strikes an intelligent observer of the education system at the first glance is that about 60 to 70 per cent children of the country do not go to schools at all.

Half of the children who do go to schools drop out before completing the primary stages. Then more than 75 % of the people are almost completely illiterate We should, in the ultimate analysis reshape whole education system from the primary to university level . Universal education after the break up of the old system, will create awareness. There should be much greater scope of original research in our universities, post-graduate and higher seats of learning. For all this, superb educational planning is needed. Even if the form or shape of the government needs drastic alterations, they should be brought about without any delay.
