What Is Harry Potter About?

Answer Question

5 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The first Harry Potter book is about a young boy, Harry Potter, who's parents were killed by Lord Voldemort. He does not know this however, until a man called Hagrid comes to his aunt and uncle's house and tells Harry that he is a wizard, and that he has been accepted to Hogwarts Schoo of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At Hogwarts, Harry makes two great friends; Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger, and together they figure out the mystery of The Sorcerers Stone, which Lord Voldemort is trying to steal. They break through a series of obstacles and enchantments and finally, Harry wins the stone.  There are also six other books. I think that the plots get thicker and better as you go on in the series!

      Harry potter is awesome!!!!
Definitely take the time to read the books, they're worth it!
      1. HP and the philosophers stone
2.HP and the chamber of secrets
      3. HP and the prizoner of azkaban (my fav)
4.HP and the goblet of fire
      5. HP and the order of the pheonix
6.HP and the half blood prince
      7. HP and the Deathly Hallows
It would take too long to explain what the entire story is about because there are many twists and things that only J.K rowling could take the time to write, which she has, in the books!! So go read them!!!

It's a really complex storyline. Difficult I suppose to summarize entirely but I'll give it ago.

It's the story of a teenage boy (Harry) who finds out about this whole new world of magic and that he belongs to it. Harry goes to the special Magic school (Hogwarts) and makes his two best friends (Ron and Hermione), who get married at the very end of the saga. As the story develops, it becomes evident that Harry is in the very heart of danger, as during every school year, some new thrilling event against dark wizards takes place.

Book one is the introduction to the wizard world. Book two - Book six sees he development of the characters as the plot thickens. I think that these books are exciting enough on their own, but when linked with the seventh book you realise the underlying plot. Book seven is the climax of the series, which ties up all the complicated loose ends of the story.

It's not predictable, you can never second guess what's coming. It's thrilling, exciting and adventurous, really believable too. A great story to relate to (minus the fact I'm not magical) for everyone.

        I hope that helps x
