Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    Barium nitrate reacts with sodium hydroxide to form barium hydroxide and sodium nitrate. The balanced equation for the reaction is;

    Ba(NO3)2 + 2NaOH -------------- > Ba(OH)2 + 2NaNO3

    Two moles of sodium nitrate and one mole of barium hydroxide are formed when two moles of sodium hydroxide and one mole of barium nitrate are combined. Moreover, it is a double displacement reaction.
