    A significant event can be defined as any event that will contribute to many upcoming events in future for example assassination of the heir to Austrian throne at Sarajevo in 1914 is a significant  event because it triggered off the destruction of World War1 .The whole world experienced the side-effects of such menace.Besides destruction and poverty,the geographical boundaries and political government  of some countries also changed.In 1917, Russia experienced Bolshevik revolution after raising anti-war and anti-czar feelings.As Turkey was an ally of Germany ,there was support from Muslims in South Asia and Hindu also  support the anti-British Camp.When the war resulted in Germany's defeat,it lost the polish corridor to the new Polish Republic.Serbia became Yugoslavia. France regained the region of Alsace-Lorraine.Austria and Hungary became separated.The Ottoman  Empire was dismembered by Treaty of Severs in 1920 and was squeezed to just Turkey.That's how a significant event contribute to forth coming events..
