What Kind Of Food Can Hamsters Eat>?

Wild bird food sunflower seeds and the like, and rabbit food. They can eat tiny carrots dried corn a bit of grass or clover, but not so much on lettuce as it gives em the runs. Also barley, beans, oats and nuts are a good source of protein for the hamster-folk. They like fruits too. Tiny fruits. Be sure that fresh fruit and veggies need to be removed from the cage if they don't eat them right away (before they rot) but hamsters need to have grains (you can find compressed grain for rabbits hamsters and guinea pigs almost anywhere) and seeds always available 24/7. Protein-mixed bags of seed and grain together are also availible. You can give them tiny dog biscuits every now and then for extra protein and to grind teeth down. Other traets that help keep teeth shorter are yeast tablets (no garlic) found in some pet stores. You can use those once a week. Milk is good but can be messy and needs to be removed after an hour. Water needs to be always availible, gravity feeder bottle is best. Oh and they love dried fruits and trail mixes (no chocolate) that contain them. You can even give them mealworms. Or a hard boiled egg (remove after an hour) fish liver oil drops once a week on grains gives eyes fur and skin healthy shine and condition

My hamster loves cereal. I give him plain crisps and rice crisps. He also loves fruits and vegetables. His favorites are cucumber and apple. Another thing he loves is nut sticks. You can probably find them at any local pet store.
