Wow, I can answer this question three different ways at the moment! Do you mean like a bullet out of a gun, a sex toy, or a piece? LOL =)

I wouldn't mind hearing your answer for all three.
Okay here we go: If I were to get shot I would prefer it it the leg or the arm. I like bullets in the back door.... As long as it's not the major sized bullets! And with the piece, not sure where I would take it, but I got pulled over one time and the other thing I had left was the bullet and it smelled strong in the car, so I had to hide it. I thought we were going to get searched so the only place that sounded logical to me at the time was to stick that sucker up my snatch! LOL Great times!
That made my day.
It's impossible to say for sure. There are people who get shot in "lethal" areas and live while the reverse is also true. If you had to put a stamp on it, though, you need to take a lot of factors into consideration. Things like would ballistics, kinetic energy, cavitation, bullet track (where it goes in your body after it enters) and shock waves are all very important criterion. Then you have to take other things into consideration such as what type of weapon, what type of bullet (caliber, grain count/type, design such as frangible, hollow-point, or FMJ rounds, etc...) distance of shooter to target, and so on. Even the factor of weather or not the bullet exits the body is a major consideration since typically bullets which exit the target do less damage (called a through & through).
So then where is the best place to get shot? Your arms or legs? Well, you have a LOT of important blood vessels there, such as your femoral or brachial arteries. Hit one of those and you bleed out in under 2 to 3 minutes. Shoulder? Same thing. The bullet bisects a major artery and you die in minutes. The pelvis? No, as per ER doctors this is the most painful place to be shot, and you still have a large grouping of major blood vessels, plus applying pressure would be very difficult. Obviously the chest and abdomen are out due to the concentration of major organs, as is the head.
So it looks like we have a winner. The hand or foot. There are many bones in them and it would hurt beyond belief but it wouldnt be a deadly experience as long as proper first-aid is applied. You also have the facts that it will most likely be a through & through shot, no major artieries would be damaged, and shapnel from the bullet or bone wouldnt be able to hit any vital organs.
There you have it. The hand or foot. I suppose there is a good reason as to why soldiers choose to shoot their foot in order to get out of combat.

When the gun store clerk's back is turned so he doesn't see it when you slip it into your pocket. Good luck though. I hear its mega easy to get guns but not so easy to get the bullets for them.
