How Was 'The Weak Nuclear Force' Identified?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The world's nuclear force is weak, and a large part of the world's total number of nuclear weapons are found in just nine countries, namely the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea. This weak nuclear force grew even less potent when the United States and its allies pressurised the United Nations to impose sanctions on North Korea, Libya and Iran. After much deliberation and doubts raised by some of the original five members of the nuclear club, namely Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, China and France, they finally relented and allowed India, Pakistan, South Africa and Israel to join the nuclear club.

The nuclear force could have been made stronger if these countries had joined hands with each other and vowed to stop the infighting. Instead it was the attitude of the United States towards the Asian nuclear powers (China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea), that went against it and weakened the nuclear force. The startling revelations of the man considered to be the father of nuclear testing in Pakistan, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, did not go down too well with the powers-that-be in his country, or even for that matter, in the international community at large, and it placed him under house arrest.
