You don't really need an email address to send a text to a cellphone. You could easily log onto a site offering a web2sms service, by feeding the same words to a search engine like www.google.com. It will come up with some sites that offer free web2sms service. One good site is www.sendsmsnow.com. Different carriers like sprint and cingular also have their sites which offer a web2sms service. Just go there and fill in the recipients nick and number in the blank spot and type your message in the message section and send it. Your message will be sent to the number you type. Even with hotmail, you can right click your contact list on MSN Messenger and if it offers a 'send a message to a phone' option, you can type a message and send it and it'll get through to the person's cellphone.
