The End Of My Cats Tail Is Missing, What Shall I Do?

Answer Question

Have your cat examined by a veterinarian.  Depending upon the severity of the wound it may need to be debrided (dead tissue removed) and sutured closed.  Also with any injury it is important to prevent infection from setting in or if the area is already infected start anti-biotics.  Your veterinarian can also prescribe pain medication and anti-inflammatories to combat your cat's discomfort.  If your cat is licking this area you will need to have it bandaged or have your cat wear an Elizabethan Collar to stop this behavior.

The previous answer was the best, she's a vet ;) but I'm a cheap so and so ;) lol! And I would treat it just as though I'd treat a wound similar to mine, like the tip if my finger. And I've done this before. Clean it thoroughly, bandage it very well, change dressings at least once daily, maybe twice. Any sign of infection go to doctor ;)
