Mn 7 +S -2 = Mn 2 + S 0, Can Someone Explain This Oxidation Reduction Reaction To Me?

The numbers are in the superscript. Thanks

In this oxidation/reduction reaction, Mn had +7 valency and Sn had -2 valency. But after the chemical reaction, Mn got reduced because it gained 5 electrons, so its valency deceased to +2 from +7, and S(sulfur) got oxidized because it lost 2 electrons and its valency increased to 0 from -2.
